This is the personal web site of
Ren
Reynolds.
I am interested in the the implications of
information & communications technology.
This interest ranges from the application of technology to business; the
emergence of new technology based markets for product and services, and the
philosophical implications of technology.
Philosophically I am interested in the ethics of computing
in particular the philosophy of virtual interactive environments i.e. computer
games and beyond. My current projects can be found on the philosophy
page which now also includes research project
definition. As a result of my focus on computer games
and activity in the academic community I have now added a separate
Games Studies section that includes bibliography
and links pages.
Commercially I provide consultancy in the areas of: product
strategy, business strategy and service design, development and implementation. I have over 10
years experience in the technology and
telecommunications sectors.
If you are interested in consulting services go to
Size of a Planet (commercial & marketing strategy and ideas factory) or
Mutuality (community building and interactive
tv).
I am also a commercial writer. I
have written extensively for IBM and publications such as
Internet.Works. The subjects I have written on include On-line
Marketing, Branding, Value Chain Integration and Distance
Learning. I have written extensively on Knowledge Management and relationship
based marketing e.g. one-to-one, community marketing and CRM. A full list of my publications can be found on
the publications page.
